Organizing Volunteers to Feed People with Critical Illness
MANNA needed a more robust volunteer tracking database; a solution that would scale to manage their growing workforce of volunteers -- helping MANNA do what they do best, feed those with critical illness.
Challenge
Managing this large volunteer workforce could not be accomplished without
technology. As MANNA has grown to help more people with life-threatening illnesses, needs arose to help recruit, track, and thank their volunteers.
Solution
We helped MANNA by identifying their needs and helping them implement a web-based volunteer database. Not only are all of their volunteers now managed out of one system, but MANNA has a better sense of the work each volunteer contributes thanks to an integrated volunteer time tracking console in the kitchen.
Impact
NPower’s support and assistance lets MANNA’s staff focus on their important work, deliver more meals, manage more volunteers, and raise more money without worrying about the
technology they need to do it.

MANNA uses a small professional staff and 1,000 dedicated volunteers to bring over 873,000 nutritious, freshly prepared, home-delivered meals each year to individuals and families living with a life-threatening illness.
